Therapy is clinical, mental health treatment from a licensed professional for mental health challenges like depression, trauma, or significant relationship concerns. Therapy involves assessment, diagnosis (if applicable), HIPAA-compliance, and evidence-based interventions to help you process emotions, stabilize, and heal from your past.
Coaching is practical, non-clinical, mental wellness support focused on growth, goal-setting, and taking action to improve your life in the present moment. It’s ideal if you have a stable foundation and want guidance, accountability, or tools to reach specific goals for your future.

We do not accept insurance or provide superbills.
Here's why:
Insurance companies can decide session length, frequency, and even when treatment should end, rather than letting you and your provider determine the best plan together. They also require access to private health information, including diagnoses, session notes, and treatment history, which can compromise privacy and security. Cost savings through insurance can also be misleading: high deductibles often mean most care is still paid out-of-pocket. Private-pay care prioritizes you as a whole person, not a billing code, making privacy, autonomy, and personalized care the focus of every session.
We do accept HSA/FSA cards for therapy services and ADHD-related coaching with our Neuro-affirming Coach, Erika. You are responsible for determining if this is approved through your insurance plan.
For more information on how our private-pay services support personalized care, read here: Why Remaining Private Pay Honors the Client
Our fees are set to reflect the skill, education, experience, and time involved in providing high-quality services for our clients. We understand that private-pay is an investment and may not be the right fit for everyone. We maintain a trusted referral network and are happy to connect you with excellent providers who accept insurance or offer sliding-scale options. Please don't hesitate to inquire about this via our contact form and we will get you connected in no time.
Payment is due at time of service. If you are enrolled in a monthly plan, your card will be charged on a monthly, recurring basis until you cancel.
Coaching clients may multiply the number of expected sessions by the service fee to arrive at an estimated total cost of services.
What is a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?
All therapy clients at Kind Mind Solutions will receive a Good Faith Estimate. Under the No Surprises Act, a Good Faith Estimate is a document that outlines the expected cost of services for clients who are paying privately (not using insurance). This GFE includes the expected cost of services based on the information available at the time, such as session fees, frequency, and duration of care. It is an estimate, meaning actual costs may change depending on your needs or the length of services. You may request a Good Faith Estimate before beginning services.
Does a Good Faith Estimate guarantee the total cost of services?
No. A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract or a guarantee. It is an estimate intended to provide transparency. Your total cost may change if you schedule additional sessions, change the frequency of sessions, or adjust the type of services you receive.
What if my actual charges are much higher than my estimate?
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.
Can I ask questions about my Good Faith Estimate?
Absolutely. We encourage you to ask questions at any time. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed, comfortable, and clear about the cost of services before moving forward.
Standard sessions are 50 minutes in length (except our teen coaching sessions which are 30 minutes in length).
Traditionally speaking, therapy tends to be longer term, while coaching tends to be shorter term. However, it's all relative. All therapy and coaching clients arrive with their own unique set of challenges and goals. For those with short-term goals, it may take just a few sessions. For others with longer-term or more deeply-embedded challenges, it may take a year or two. Others still, may choose to use services as part of their maintenance in self-care, scheduling sessions here and there as life unfolds. There really is no "typical" timeline.
